Project coup in Rajasthan, India
Supply structures for rural region
Rajasthan – Berlinwasser International is heading a German-Indian consortium in India’s federal state of Rajasthan that will be setting up an independent water supply operation in the districts of Churu, Hanumangarh and Jhunjhunu over the next 20 months. The new operation is intended to ensure the sustainable and cost-effective operation of the water supply plants and supply networks.
The Public Health Engineering Department of Rajasthan issued the contract for the project, which is being financed by Kreditanstalt für Wiederaufbau. The German-Indian consortium will support the state institutions in their efforts to restructure the water supplier, as well as review existing contracts for operation and maintenance of the distribution system, advise on issues of organisational structure and hiring, analyze the rate structures and instruct new staff in all technical and managerial matters.
