Reception for Thai Deputy Prime Minister, Mr. Korbsak Sabhavasu

Berlin – Dieter Ernst, CEO of Berlinwasser International AG and spokesperson for the Asia-Pacific Committee of German Business (APA), welcomed Thailand’s Deputy Prime Minister, Mr. Korbsak Sabhavasu to the second session of the Thai-German Joint Economic Committee on 8 May.

As a representative of German business, Dieter Ernst underscored the many years of success-ful cooperation with Thailand. “We have a common vested interest in developing the ASEAN market with its 500 million people and deepening technological cooperation, especially in the infrastructure and environmental technology sectors,” Dieter Ernst said. The ASEAN nations and particularly Thailand have a strong interest in German expertise in sustainability in the manufacturing industry. The Thai government intends to initiate and support several such projects.

As part of this commitment, the Thai government at the beginning of May passed a second stimulus package of 800 billion Baht (16.63 billion euros), 2.2 billion euros of which will be assigned to integrated water management and related areas.

Berlinwasser International AG has maintained good contacts in Thailand over many years and was responsible for rehabilitating the lagoon of the Bang Pa In royal palace.
