International Leadership Training

Berlinwasser International and Adelphi Research have been selected to conduct the International Leadership Training (ILT) programme “Managing Development in the Water and Energy Sector” by Inwent.

The Leadership programme supports experts and managers from developing and transition countries, training them over a one-year course to initiate and manage change in their home countries. Inwent organises the ILT on behalf of the BMZ (German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development). 26 participants from ten different countries will join the 2010 - 2011 programme. The participants from the water sector are from the MENA region and will be focussing on personnel development and public awareness. The participants from the energy sector come from South and Middle America and will be focussing on energy efficiency and renewable energy.

In the preparation phase, the participants will receive German language training while still working in their home countries, where they will also develop their transfer projects. In the following one-year training phase in Germany, the participants will attend management and sector training, before completing a four-month internship while working on their transfer projects at the same time.

The ILT programme is held in cooperation with experienced coaches from Berlinwasser Group.

Berlinwasser International und Adelphi Research haben den Zuschlag für die Durchführung des International Leadership Trainings (ILT) „Managing Development im Sektor Wasser und Energie“ von Inwent erhalten.

Das Leadership-Programm fördert Fach- und Führungskräfte aus Entwicklungs- und Transformationsländern und qualifiziert sie in einem einjährigen Programm, um Veränderungsprozesse in ihren Ländern anzustoßen und zu managen. Inwent führt das ILT im Auftrag des BMZ durch. An dem Programm 2010 bis 2011 nehmen 26 TeilnehmerInnen aus zehn verschiedenen Ländern teil. Die TeilnehmerInnen aus dem Wassersektor kommen aus der MENA-Region und beschäftigen sich mit den Schwerpunkten Personalentwicklung und Public Awareness. Die TeilnehmerInnen aus dem Energiesektor kommen aus Süd- und Mittelamerika und haben die Schwerpunkte Energieeffizienz und Erneuerbare Energie.

In der Vorbereitungsphase werden die TeilnehmerInnen berufsbegleitend sechs Monate in ihren Heimatländern auf die deutsche Sprache vorbereitet und entwickeln ihre Transferprojekte. In der folgenden einjährigen Trainingsphase in Deutschland werden die TeilnehmerInnen in Management- und Sektortrainings geschult, absolvieren ein viermonatiges Praktikum und arbeiten an ihrem Transferprojekt.

Das ILT Programm wird in Kooperation mit erfahren TrainerInnen aus der Berlinwasser Gruppe durchgeführt.
